Defining Modernism: Curatorial Tours of the Smart Museum and Wright’s Robie House
Experience the varied expressions of modern design during two free curator-led tours, starting with a curator led tour of the Smart Museum’s exhibition Mid-Century: Good Design in Europe and America, 1850-1950, which celebrates the ways in which modern design reshaped the world of everyday objects. Then enjoy a free tour of the magnificent spaces of Frank Lloyd Wright’s Robie House, an icon of modern architecture, led by the Preservation Trust’s curator.

Location: Meet at the Smart Museum, 5550 S. Greenwood Ave., Chicago. The tour will conclude at the Robie House, 5757 S. Woodlawn, Chicago.
